Talking at Sportstar's South Sports activities Conclave in Chennai on Tuesday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.Okay. Stalin mentioned that internet hosting the Chess Olympiad, the world's greatest chess occasion, is a matter of satisfaction for the state.
"To host the forty fifth Chess Olympiad in Chennai is a matter of satisfaction for Tamil Nadu. Many nations tried to host it after FIDE determined to drop Russia. We bought it [hosting rights]. That is the primary time it's being held in India. We now have put aside 92 crores for the Olympiad," Stalin mentioned.
The conclave is being held in affiliation with Hero We Care, a Hero Motocorp CSR Initiative, Okay J Somaiya Institute of Administration, JK Tyre, FIITJEE World Faculty, Indian Oil, Nippon Paint and Casagrand.
