Gymnast Aruna Reddy says she was videographed with out consent, SAI types probe panel

The Sports activities Authority of India (SAI) on Friday fashioned a three-member inquiry committee to look into gymnast Aruna Budda Reddy’s allegations of being videographed with out consent throughout a bodily health check performed in March, 2022.

The committee is headed by Govt Director (Groups) Radhica Sreeman. Coach Kamlesh Tiwana and Deputy Director (Operations) Kailash Meena are additionally members of the committee.

Reddy had levelled her allegations towards coach Rohit Jaiswal, who was earlier given a clean-chit by the Gymnastics Federation of India (GFI). She threatened to take authorized recourse towards Jaiswal after GFI handed the buck and the onus of investigation fell on SAI.

The committee will file statements from each events and file its report by subsequent week.

SAI has already acquired a report from the accused coach Jaiswal. “The matter got here to gentle this morning. We've got already sought a report from the accused coach. ‘Zero tolerance’

The SAI official mentioned the organisation has zero tolerance in the direction of such incident. “As an an organisation, we now have zero tolerance in the direction of such incident and can take exemplary motion if the accused is confirmed responsible,” the official mentioned.

SAI went on to say that the check was performed within the presence of a committee constituted by the GFI
