Former Dallas Cowboys operating again Marion Barber died Wednesday, the staff confirmed. He was 38.
Barber was discovered lifeless in his condominium by police in Frisco, Texas, on Wednesday, the Fort Price Star-Telegram reported.
"Officers are at the moment out on a welfare concern, however we're unable to offer any additional data right now," a Frisco police spokesperson informed the Star Telegram, noting the reason for Barber's loss of life is unknown.
Barber performed seven seasons within the NFL (2005-11), together with his first six with the Cowboys. He earned a Professional Bowl nod in 2007 after dashing for 975 yards and 10 touchdowns. In that 12 months's playoffs, he gained 129 yards on the bottom and scored in Dallas' NFC divisional-round loss to the New York Giants.
The bruising again topped 1,000 yards from scrimmage in three consecutive campaigns and was a useful weapon across the objective line. Dallas drafted Barber out of the College of Minnesota within the fourth spherical of the 2005 Draft.
He spent his last season with the Chicago Bears, scoring six instances in a reserve function. Barber retired with 4,780 dashing yards and 59 TDs general.
